MALIKA LEPESBAYEVA
Malika Lepesbayeva is a Senior at High School of Art and Design, currently majoring in Fashion as an honors student. Since childhood years, she has always been interested in different forms of art and had a dream of working in the fashion industry. Started attending art schools on the side since elementary school and developed a bigger interest in seeking a career in the art fields. Malika enjoys creating fashion illustrations, as well as challenging herself with creating garments. Furthermore in 2020, she developed and now runs a small custom tote bag business with a focus on sustainability. Malika is very impassioned about fashion and is eager to help others learn more about its impact on our world.
SAMANTHA SANDERS
Samantha Sanders is a Senior fashion student at the High School of Art and Design. She has been interested in fashion her whole life, inspired by her mother, a former costume design student. Since she was young, she’s been embracing her creativity through her drawings and paintings. Additionally, Samantha enjoys making collages in her free time and has participated in a few after school art clubs and portfolio-building classes. Samantha is very passionate about fashion and is eager to teach kids all she knows and more!
ALIKA-JOY KUMASI
Alika-Joy Kumasi is a fashion major at the High School of Art and Design. She likes organization and being creative through making clothes and printmaking. Alika has been consistently on the honor roll and enjoys learning, especially history and literature. Alika joined Caelo as a PR member in order to gain experience being a part of a club and work with others as well as gaining confidence.
GRACE LI
Grace Li is a student at Art and Design High School and majors in fashion design. She has always loved fashion ever since she was a child as she had many people around her that were in the fashion industry. She also likes to share her passions with others and Caelo Organization does just that. Being able to teach other students about my major is something I found very fun as well as something that helped me with my communication skills. In the future, she would like to travel the world and learn about fashion in different countries and experience the lifestyle there as well.
EMILY FUQUAY
Emily Fuquay is a Senior at Art and Design High School who has also had a passion for fashion. She has been designing her own clothes since she was 10, and recently found a liking for the fashion business and textiles. She currently studies fashion design in school and has experience working in a costume shop, as well as the Met Museum’s Costume Institute. She enjoys crocheting, sewing, and climbing in her free time.
